Create your Personal Board Of Directors

Jun 03, 2022

Surround yourself with people who support your growth.

In Polish we have an expression saying: 'who keeps company with wolves, will learn to howl' - which means you will become who you are surrounded with.
(original text: kto z kim przestaje, takim się staje)

As a child I did not like and understand that sentence which my parents were using. I felt limited choices on who I can choose to connect with and felt limited on who I wanted to become.

Today I understand and trully agree with the statements: 'You are shaped by the closed people you are surrounded with' or 'You are the reflection of your 5 closest people'. ❗

I have seen myself changing over the years thanks to and because of people who I was mostly surrounded by.

At the beginning I was doing it unconsciously, I did not look at who I wanted to be surrounded with. It came naturally at school, work, shared activities.

When I started to do it consciously, with an intention to grow myself as a person, as a leader, I started to search for people I want to be surrounded with and I started to grow faster, challenge my boundaries, be more inspired and enriched in life.

This is when I started to feel the true meaning of this sentence 💡
➡️ you choose who you want to be surrounded with
➡️you are in control of who you want to become
➡️ you are the CEO of your life

...so create your PERSONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS who will help you to grow!💫

Below a great tool I got through my network that will help you evaluate if you have the people you need to achieve what you want and evolve to who you want to become.

I used it this week and recognized I miss a 'wellness coach' - so I will need to seek for that person.

What did you find out during the process? Which areas are strongly represented? Who do you lack?

Create your PERSONAL BOARD of DIRECTORS to be an extraordinary leader and have an extraordinary life.
